    Android Developement without Java

*Maybe this is not the correct place for this post...but could be the closest! *

I know that Android largely uses Java and its executable runs on Dalvik VM....but considering that is is derived from linux...there is bound to be a way to use C/C++/python/...anything other than Java....
Anybody with a good idea of what needs to be done for that purpose ?

You can access the NDK on most devices (presently, only ARM coprocessors are supported, but that will likely change in the future). If you want your app to be truly portable, use Java.
