    Question Linux Library/Header's

Does anybody know where I could find a list of the newest libraries for Linux and explanations of the header files and functions they offer?

I tried to do some quick searches but usually came up with pages for me to download the libraries.

Also, can you use Unix headers with Linux programs?

I'm somewhat of n00b to programming for linux

You could try www.sourceforge.net and look in the development directory of the software map. I think Freshmeat would be a better solution, but it's not up right now.

For libraries that are installed on your computer, all the documentation should be in the /usr/doc directory.

If you have the source code for the library, not just the header, the answer is probably yes(unless you mean a specific Unix like Irix, HP-UX, etc.)
    All generalizations are false
