software licensing

There is some serendipity going on here. I have been reading a lot of software licenses lately and finding flaws in all of them.

So, here goes:

What software license would you use for software if you could use any license at all?
Why?

I'm not excluding proprietary licenses from this, so any license is valid for the purposes of this.
I'm just wanting to get others input on licenses, to help in deciding.

It depends the software. I release really general-purpose stuff under the Boost Software License, which is very permissive. More specialized libraries, I'd probably release under the GPL or perhaps OSL.

Other than that, it would have to be a case-by-case decision.
