| Wiki for Tutorials So far I've only gotten one tutorial added to the Wiki, Dual Boot with WinXP and SuSE linux, but I will be adding more as time progresses. If anyone would like to help out on this project (maybe just add a few of their own tutorials) that would be a great help in getting this thing rolling. http://wiki.TheJeffFiles.com There are a few things to take note of that I've already thought about: 1) Since it's a wiki, people can edit it freely, so I understand some people won't like the idea of using the Wiki for tutorials and having people openly change your tutorials. I think, however, that the premise of the Wiki in that it allows unlimited fine-tuning of articles should make any tutorial better over time. 2) This is a startup project on my part, so at this point it's not terribly large, but I would really like to see it expand. Using this wiki software, I hope to quicken the writing process of articles and also present a much easier method of organizing the information. Who knows if this project will last a year, a month, or even a week, but it will definitely be a learning experience regardless. Thanks in advance. |

| it would work well if you got a large enough community to watch it consistently enough... the reason wikipedia works so well is because there are a few thousand members who constantly watch the 'recent changes' pages, and if anything bad happens, they go and fix it immediately. then there's the thousands of members that watch certain pages constantly, and fix technical details... I say go for it

Now, I'm not going to say that anything like that will happen with the tutorials site immediately, but I am hoping for some people who would be willing to add to it, spread it around by word of mouth and such. | |

| Anything in general relating to programming, hardware, etc. I was thinking of aiming it at solely programming tutorials, but we'll just have to see where/how it evolves. Mainly I'd like to just have a very large array of tutorials on the wiki, anywhere from win32 to allegro to C++ to Java, all in one spot and updated by numerous people. |

| In the near future (a couple of days or so) I could write an article on the syntax differences between Intel and AT&T Assembly, for beginners (like myself). Someone with more knowledge could expand it with details of the 'actual' programming instead of just syntax differentiations.
