The most obnoxious people in the world...

...are Texans! I always thought the "everythings bigger in Texas" thing was just a sterotypical thing, like 'eh?' in Canada and 'Mate' in Australia. Then I met a Texan today. He has to be the most annoying person to talk to in the entire universe.

Every time we mentioned something about Australia, his response was "Ya'll don't know nothing about X! Why, in Texas, we have bigger X's than anywhere in the world!". I honestly wanted to rip out his tongue and slap him over the face with it. Arrghh!!

We shut him up when we mentioned Western Australia is bigger than Texas though.

Are they all like this?!

Why did you post this twice?

Duplicate removed.

Oh, and if any Texans wish to turn this into a flame war between them an Australians, then this Britain here will have the last say by closing the thread.

The CBoard was going really slowly. I had to click submit a bazillion times (I doubt it was my internet connection because I could open other sites and was on MSN at the same time).

I hated Texas when I was there. But I can say the people were alright. I worked with a couple Texans and they were not too bad.

I did some research and Texas does indeed have bigger Xs. I think you owe your Texan friend an apology.

I think BMJ is refering to a particular scene in the movie Full Metal Jacket.
