    Gedit best text editor! Why? 'Cause is! All the data you'll ever need, imo.

    Real Programmers use butterflies.
    Code:
    namespace life
    {
        const bool change = true;
    }

    Close, but Gedit is just a bit too bloated, Notepad is all that anyone really needs.

    Nah. ed does everything a programmer needs. If you need screen orientation, vi.
    Right 98% of the time, and don't care about the other 3%.

    If I seem grumpy in reply to you, it is likely you deserve it. Suck it up, sunshine, and read this, this, and this before posting again.

    Damn, I must need to modernize myself. I don't use a text editor for programming anymore.
    The programmer’s wife tells him: “Run to the store and pick up a loaf of bread. If they have eggs, get a dozen.”
    The programmer comes home with 12 loaves of bread.

    gedit's search sucks, while notepad's++ rocks!

    The form asks: Which text editors do you use?
    But it does not allow you to choose two editros!
    Code - functions and small libraries I use

    It’s 2014 and I still use printf() for debugging.

    Like, in the sense that it's slow and can oftentimes crash the program if the file you're searching is too big? That's the only time I've ever had any issues with gedit, when output files are like 100s of MB.
