;_;
I haven't heard anything about mine.

I just got a mail saying that the new batch will be ready within a week.
Our second batch of Raspberry Pi's is currently being put together, and we're expecting it in next week. We'll be inviting the next 4,000 people in our queue to come into the Raspberry Pi store and place their order very soon. Volume production is also progressing well, and we have secured chipset supplies to support the huge demand for Raspberry Pi. We really appreciate your patience while we fine-tune the manufacturing process. It's important we get the quality and reliability right, as we want everyone to enjoy their Pi’s.
The really good news is that, within a few weeks, the batch volumes will substantially increase, allowing us to serve Raspberry Pi's to many more people. We'll keep you informed on progress, and hope to be contacting all of you shortly with news on when you can get your Raspberry Pi.

I've just been told I'll probably not see mine until at least the fifth batch.

I don't even know what I would use it for that I can't already do....I just...want it.
I made a pair of "Braille Gloves" which have 6 vibration motors in six finger tips and vibrate in the relevant patterns. I have used this to read stuff while out walking. Given there is a fairly well defined programmer-oriented Braille encoding I should imagine it would work in this situation. Diagrams could be a pain still.
Note: I am not blind but have learnt Braille fairly easily so for me it works quite well
Disclaimer: I haven't tried this while driving yet...
I'm going to port a lot of my old "video pet" code and hope like molasses it works. ^_^

When I can finally order one, my strategy will be to show it to everyone in work, family, etc. I'm also pretty short on ideas that I haven't already implemented on my Atom server, but I can guarantee that someone I know will want to do something interesting, and I can help.
^_^It probably won't...as the some threads in their forum indicates that the gpu driver isn't ready yet...and the cpu sucks at anything to do with video.
The "raspi" isn't powerful enough to do what I'm doing even with graphic acceleration from the GPU.
I already have a nice board I built ($300) by combining a few commercial chips to get the OSD layer. I'm only going to use the "raspi" as a driver as it is way more powerful than my current driver.
That said, if anyone knows of a newer graphic OSD chip I'm always looking for a replacement so I can use those chips (from the existing layer) for a different project.

Mine was shipped on the 24th. Should be here any day. I have another ordered from another supplier. That one is a little slower...

Why is everyone getting theirs first!?
Curse you all!

Got it.
Haven't even plugged it in yet as I've been finishing an assignment and haven't been shopping for an SDCard, HDMI cable etc...
Going to get Debian on it asap
Ha! Sweet! Got it hooked up to a Dell monitor via a HDMI/DVI converter. The monitor has USB as well as so can power the unit from it.
Now I just need some free time to mess with it!
