    Smile greetings!

unsure of where to post this...

i just wanted to say: hi! im new!

i started programming recently with C# and C++. however i got some general knowledge of programming via a scripting primer of the old game Doom. ( various source ports allowed you to script something with a little scripting language they call ACS )

anyways, I'm from holland, 15 years old, my real name is Ynze, and i enjoy game and application design.
in about 2 years and im hopefully beginning a application design study. while in my spare time i like to work on my own projects such as little games and apps.

    i hope i made a fair introduction...

Welcome! What little games and apps have you written?

I get maybe two dozen requests for help with some sort of programming or design problem every day. Most have more sense than to send me hundreds of lines of code. If they do, I ask them to find the smallest example that exhibits the problem and send me that. Mostly, they then find the error themselves. "Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.

thanks! i have written doom mods mostly. mapping, modding, sprite editing, 3d modelling and such. for the apps. in the last 2 days i have made a converter tool.
it converts different types of variables for the doom scripting primer to other variables. heres a screenie : http://i52.tinypic.com/1fxvl2.jpg

and also a little calculator. im still working on that one. its basicly just practice before i start something big.
