My attempt at humor was based on the fact that the Turbo C[++] product line came on floppies.
(now we just need to get this worthless thread moved to GD)

I would love to see links to "all" the posts where I "one up'd" someone. How can I learn from, and correct my flaws if I don't have any evidence of these flaws to examine?
As a thread in the C Programming forum, this is worthless - and needs moved to general discussion (GD).

Ok, for starts, examine what you just wrote above, and in this thread...
Your first entry to the thread was *pure* oneupsmanship... you just had to find fault and go me one better. You didn't even get the joke.... did you? Did you even crack a smile? Or did you sit there stone faced thinking "That's factually inaccurate and it should have been..." ... Ask yourself... when is the last time you just laughed and enjoyed a joke? When is the last time you did not feel compelled to find fault in something someone said?
Even when I pointed out that they don't even make floppy disks anymore you persisted, and here you are challenging me again... This time attempting to take control over the thread itself...
It was NOT worthless... it was a little bit of humour with a surprise ending.As a thread in the C Programming forum, this is worthless - and needs moved to general discussion (GD).
Why did I put it in the C forum? Because
1) It relates directly to C programming
and
2) that is one place desperately in need of a little humour.

CommonTater, this is the second thread within a week that I've seen where you're being unnecessarily rude and unpleasant. if you're so bored with your life that you feel that have to come into a friendly forum and cause trouble, maybe it's time for you to make some significant lifestyle changes. your rantings over what someone else did or did not do are getting old, and need to stop. with nearly 6500 posts, it's obvious that you've been here for a while, so I won't make the mistake of thinking that you're a noob. that being said, you're acting like a child, and your comments in this and the other thread are not helpful in any way. either contribute or go away. your negative attitude is not good for this community.

Not possible. In here only CommonTater should judge what's humorous and what's not. Furthermore, he has the right to decide whether your sense of humor matches his own expectations, and, in case it doesn't, it can only be because you lack any sense of humor.
Meanwhile CommonTater is 60 years old. That's granddaddy grade. He knows best, on account of all the wisdom he gathered through the years. His behavior is thus acceptable, if for nothing else also because he has over 30 years of experience in electronics. He keeps reminding us of all that. You just don't listen!
