    If PHP Were British

    If PHP Were British - Added Bytes by Dave Child

    The especially funny part, my favorite, is where
    Code:
        try {
        // Code here
        } catch (Exception $e) {
        // Handle exception
        die('Message');
        }
    becomes
    Code:
        would_you_mind {
        // Code here
        } actually_i_do_mind (Exception Łe) {
        // Politely move on
        cheerio('Message');
        }
    Haha. This is classic. From now on I'm using this in my C++:
    Code:
    #define would_you_mind try
    #define actually_i_do_mind catch

If they do, I ask them to find the smallest example that exhibits the problem and send me that. Mostly, they then find the error themselves. "Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.
