The only surprise here is it took this long for the next farcebook problem with privacy/security to show up.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
I support http://www.ukip.org/ as the first necessary step to a free Europe.
I keep telling them, Facebook can't be trusted! It's like an open database full of security holes just waiting to be exploited! But they won't listen. Well, one day, they will be the ones weeping! Oh, yes! Don't tell me I didn't warn them!

Its good to know that they keep 'spare' keys ... :P
I'll close my account, as soon as I can manage to settle the communication problems..

Slow and Steady wins the race... if and only if :
1.None of the other participants are fast and steady.
2.The fast and unsteady suddenly falls asleep while running !
Best policy is: Don't put anything on the web you don't want everybody to know.
You must assume there is no secrecy, no privacy, and nothing hidden.
I use facebook and think the interface is totally atrocious -- I guess their success is purely concept (the reason I use it is because of their success, all my friends and family are there, maybe MS users can relate, LOL?)
Anyway, so I'm not here to defend them BUT a lot of these privacy scandals remind me of "I parked my car in neutral with no brake on a hill, and it slid into the ocean -- now I sue the manufacturer!".
Like of course they are a little shady about the information, but that is a Capitalist norm

They are not dead, and thus are not eligible for the Darwin awards -- I wonder if some exception can be made??
Actually I think this calls for some William Blake:
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? What dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears,
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?

Facebook or Facepalm? I can't seem to make my mind. This company is really right there in that special place where the only think stopping them from flopping is the lack of an alternative. One shows up, and they'll go down faster than MySpace ever did.
We know nothing is eternal. Things just come and go. But like me smoking, some things just seem to want to go sooner than others.
