    Heh, I have fond memories of Jaxom from the *gasp* Dragonriders of Pern original trilogy. Imriel sounds like a girl's name, and if it is, then it should be okay since girls usually get away with funny names, as long as the names are not as weird as TBD.

    Those aren't bad names. Jaxom is going to be called Jax through most of his youth which is pretty cool and I don't see any kids having problems with that. Imriel is a bit tougher, but as Laserlight said, if it's a girl then she can get away with it. For nicknames I could see kids bastardizing it to something like Miri or Imy. Those are doable.
