    For all you Brits...

    Join a worthwhile campaign - get Rage Against The Machine's Killing in the name up as Xmas number one instead of the awful rubbish that Cowel chap produces.

    BBC News - Rock anthem outselling X Factor winner Joe McElderry

    Just buy yourself a copy from Tesco Digital, Itunes, Play.com, HMV Digital, Amazon.

    Costs less than a pound and will hopefully lead to the only decent Xmas number one since the 1970s.

    Seriously, why would anybody compare RATM with John McElderry? Why? And with a song from '92? Apart from selling cds and news, the whole thing seems stupid.

    It has nothing to do with comparison. Just trying to avoid more rubbish Xmas number ones.

    We have a reality show over here called X-Factor that produces a group of singers each year and they always end up getting the Xmas number one slot because the singles market is virtually non-existant and any record with record company backing easilly scoops the prize.

    The show is masterminded by a rather annoying guy called Simon Cowell and he gets paid a fortune for broadcasting the show then managing the careers of these star-wannabees. Very few of them last longer than 2-3 songs before they are forgotten. The song's are pretty banal offering that are over produced and radio friendly, but similarly disapear at the same rate as the people who sing them.

    I wouldnt normally mind except that each year, the Xmas number one (once a decent achivement for a singer or group in the UK) is taken over by these "talentless wonders" and anyone else (decent acts or not) dont stand a chance.

    When I saw this little campain I liked the idea because it was a big song by a band of my youth (I was in my teens when the album came out) and the idea of eating my turkey on Xmas day with that playin in the background appeals greatly - especially when its at the expense of what would normally be playing

    His answer to the facebook challenge reveals the complete idiot he is. I'm at loss with words. Instead of taking on the challenge, he whines how everybody will be ruining the moment for his protegee.

    But it also reveals the uneducated society we live in. Where moronic pop, reality-shows and stardom promises pays better than a surgeon salary.

    Talking

    YEAH!

    Now that restores some of my faith in humanity. If I wasn't such a cynic, they'd have sold 500,001 copies. Great song, iconic and historical album, pretty great band.

    Personally, this is my fav Xmas tune of the moment:

    YouTube - Théurgie Mystificum - Gothërfall

    You have to make it to the end and listen closely to get the Christmas theme After 3 plays you'll be an addict.

    The talent shows are very dumb. More often than not the only talent they find are the ones who are actively touring or already have their own small shows and are looking for their big break. I've seen this on many of Cowell's 'talent' shows.

    My local eclectic radio station actually mentioned this on the morning commute babble. So I guess it's not just for "all you Brits."
    Code:
    //try
    //{
    	if (a) do { f( b); } while(1);
    	else   do { f(!b); } while(1);
    //}
