ie 8 tab tile multi view keyboard shortcut thing?!

Damnit,

I accidentally typed some combination in IE8 again that made the tabs lay out in tile formation for me able to pick which one I want. It's some combination on the left side of the keyboard, for the life of me I can't remember. I tried just pressing some random buttons, no avail (read: the op mashed keyboard for a while)!

I did find out that you can press ctrl-tab to cycle through tabs, so I hope you find that useful!

But, does any one know the shortcut to make it all tiled out?!

There is also a button toggle for it on the left of your first tab. If you hover over it, you should get a tool-tip with the shortcut on it for reference.

... and Firefox, and Opera, and probably Safari, and probably Konqueror. I think that shortcut probably came up in the first conversation about tabbed browsing.

A friend of mine swears that he only uses the keyboard when doing computing. Says that it's faster and more efficient. I'm not quite sure about that, it certainly isn't as intuitive!

It's only faster if used in conjunction with a mouse.

Think about it, you can get more done if you're fully utilizing both of your hands. Let's say for instance you have a tab in the upper left of your screen and you know that on that tab, you're going to have to log in with a form on the right side of the page (like GMail, for instance). If your mouse is in the middle of the screen, you could achieve your task much quicker if you start your mouse towards the right side of the screen while you use your other hand to Ctrl-Tab to the login form. Do that a couple million times and you might actually have time for another movie or round of bowling or something in your life. ... or if you're a smoker, that's like two more cigarettes you can smoke with no actual difference to lifetime achievement!
