Well, I'd say that it's an April Fool's joke only going by the fact that the IGN logo was listed at the bottom of the credit listing (as if to say they have something to do with the movie). However, I'd have to say that was phenomenal production value for a prank. A series of unknown actors along with some cheesy duologue and graphics that would only be impressive at the turn of the millennium only add to the idea that it's a prank or just a B movie designed by gamers. Either way, if a full length was released, I'd probably watch it no matter how much I'm sure that it'd suck.

Maybe they'll use some of the video clips in the next Zelda game?
Although, the only Zelda game I play is the original.

That is a lot of money to waste on a prank. Looks like a movie trailer for some block-buster with very high production values. Almost makes me want to see it...if it exists...which it doesn't since it's on IGN's site as a prank. Also a video of the making of the trailer.

However it is very good so perhaps Nintendo should follow up on this actually do a movie and use this as the trailer.

That is a prank. It has been confirmed....and it was confirmed a long time ago too. That trailer came out awhile ago.
