Red Diamond - Little bit of a preview

    Hey everybody.

I doubt any of you know me, but I am a long time reader, and a short time poster.

I've been working on a pretty big project for a company called Silak Gaming. It will eventually be a 5 card game game disc, including 3 brand new card games. The cool thing about this project is that the 3 new card games are being patented by my employer, and put into actual casinos worldwide. (You can check out Red Diamond in the Mississippi casinos, as soon as they are finished being rebuilt, damn Katrina).

The first game, Red Diamond, is nearing a close. I've never really told anyone on here about it, so I figured I would post a pic of what it looks like as of now.

I will be posting a demo of the game on here sometime soon, but for now just let me know what you think of the screen shot.

    Poker rocks. (Off-topic but true)
Any chance of getting the rules for this "Red Diamond" you speak of?

Red Diamond offers two bets and is dealt from a single deck of cards.

Each player and the dealer will receive one card. The deck will be shuffled after every hand.

Basically there is a main bet and a side bet.

In the main bet, the highest suit wins. Diamonds beat hearts, hearts beat spades, spades beat clubs. If dealer and player have same suit, than higher card number wins (aces are the highest).

If you win this main bet, you are paid even money. Ex: You bet $100, and win, then you will receive your orignal $100 + won $100 = $200.

The side bet is a bet on which suit you think you will receive. If you are correct, then you are payed 2 to 1. Ex: You bet $100, and win, then you will receive your orignal $100 + won $200 = $300.

If you make a side bet on a suit, and both you AND the dealer receive the same suit, then you are paid 5 to 1. Ex: You bet $100, and win, then you will receive your orignal $100 + won $500 = $600.

There is also a Red Diamond Bonus, where if you receive an Ace of Diamond, and the dealer receives a diamond, you will be paid 3 to 1 on your main bet.

If the dealer receives a 2 or 3 of clubs, the hand is a push with noone winning/losing anything.

thanks for the input! I'm planning on either putting some kind of background picture behind the playing surface, or using those black spaces on the bottom left and right to store some kind of information.
