    Xterria, since I was the only one who posted between your posts, I assume this is directed at me? Give you proof of what? That the games I've seen this year are mediocre at best? Um.. how about you name a game that was good from this year, and I'll happily concede. No need to have angry faces.

    Cool

    Actually if you are programming exclusively for Windows, DirectX is made for Windows and thus is probably better.

    If you are coding on UNIX or some other platform or the code you write may need to run on another platform DirectX is practically not available and OpenGL is the better choice.

    this is not true at all, or a good way to determine the superior of the two.

    Serious sam

    I think The serious sam engine uses opengl, and damn that things nice!!

    shut up xterra. hmm...games using openGL...oh maybe Quake 3, Tribes 2, half life, baldurs gate (2), Alice, Anachronox, Daikatana, Heretic 2/Hexen 2, MDK2, Red Faction, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Neverwinter Nights (which is coming soon), Diablo II, Decent 3...must I go on?
