I have been thinking very heavily about doing lots of tools programming for my game in C#, because it is a very nice language. It would be incredibly versatile and simple to make tools in that language.

P.S. I already made Quake IV in JavaScript, however, it is too much for the world to handle. Therefore it is locked up in a safe until the world is ready for my greatness.

    LOL.

Yes - I too have had a look at this and it is very tempting.

I also think there is going to be a real case for writing commercial games in C# when the next version of windows comes about. The .NET framework will be standard and i'll bet money that MS will be pushing this language and the framework as being THE way to write apps under longhorn.

And why not - as the expectations of games becomes greater, we are going to need ways to speed up development.

By the way - i've been hearing from some friends in the industry that there is a trend of moving away from MFC for rapid application development to C# with regards to game content creation tools. So there should be jobs in the future within the games industry that are calling for C# skills.

I read that MS is using C# as an alternative to Java. Thats why they have discontinued Visual J++.
The 2 languages are quite similar.

Let's not forget that MS accounted for J++ calls in IE's Java Virtual Machine, making Sun Microsystems (The developer of Java technology) very mad indeed, hence a $25 million restitution and some sort of "new deal".
