I want to start game programming, but I haven't really learned much about the standard template library. Basically I'm wondering if it's a good idea to learn about the STL, and what book(s) I should buy on it. I remember some threads mentioned a book called "The C++ Standard Library" but its pretty expensive. Also, what are some good game programming books? "Trick's Of The Windows Game Programming Guru's" has been mentioned, is it any good?
