    @ moderators

Since i dont know whos the mod of the game programming board ill just put a thread.

Wouldnt it be great if you had a sticky on top of this board, where every game you make can be put in. Because sometimes i do a search on this board because lots of games that are being posted here are great.
But of course the best thing would be to just put a link to one of your games in this sticky, else this sticky would take alot of bandwidth.

Merely a suggestion for the moderators .

    Greetz,

    Ganglylamb.

i think thats a great idea, it will also keep people from posting the same game on different threads everytime a "post your best game" thread comes up.

I think it is a good idea too, mind you having something like a newbies reference to game programming would be useful, like a list of tutorials/articals/references would be useful too, I know I used them a lot back in the days.

the only problem with the idea that i can see is that it could become a battle for attention when multiple games get posted. it should be a thread just to post the game, then a seperate thread could reference that post for comments.

Actually i was thinking that all the ppl who have posted a thread already like "check out my game"could post their game in it, thus keeping the reactions on the game on this thread and not in the sticky.
The sticky should be something you can "browse" through: every post in it should have a small description of the game, (and mayb they should also tell with it wich graphix library they used- then newcomers can see wich library he/she wants to use in the future) and of course a link to the game to download it.

For games using allegro i'd suggest a link in the first post to the allegro dll, where you (when posting a game) should only refer to .

^this is what i imagined with the sticky.

    grtz,

    Ganglylamb.

Sounds like a good Idea, but I rarely even pay attention to the stickeys. I don't even remember what all are sticky right now

I guess I should pay more attention to stickey posts
