as my game projects become bigger i find im having trouble planning them out well and keeping them organized. what kind of sytems do you guys use for keeping your code organized, like how do you split it into seperate files and what do you put into each seperate file. Any suggestions are appreciated. thanks
Honestly, I just use a pen and a notebook.
I try my best to plan out the basic scheme of things first then expound on that as I work my way through the mechanics of the game. Once I get the basics fleshed out I start to look for areas that are redundant and find generic solutions to accomplish the tasks.
i use my program to jot down notes.
but i only do text adventures right now until i do some serious C++ studying!
