Arrow An old good DirectX game of mine

Some year ago I created a game, called Bandii.

I've learnt much since then, but I still think my game can be played with some enjoyment.

There are a few problems though:
    • May not work on every computer
    • Dialogue runs a bit too fast on my current computer

It's a platform game, but you're using the mouse to aim and shoot.

I think you may like this game, it's quite easy to make own levels and it's neither text-based nor an RPG.

One more thing: It's HARD!! (but possible to finish)

    Download it here
    http://strandmark.com/program/bandii.zip

note: my isp is having some troubles lately, so be patient if the link's not working.

When it was released, this is what people thought about it:

"Jeez!! - I didn't realise how good this game actually was the first time I played it!!!"

"This game certainly has potential! - You can get it sold."

"That totally rocks! Abuse + mario it certainly is, and it works well!"

"It rocks! Mine will rock as hard. (Hopefully!). Well, now you got me motivated."

I remember when you posted this along with your AI demo a little while back. Then everyone asked for the source and you kind of dissappeared. Funny how those things happen. Anyways, its one thing to be proud of something , but aren't you just showboating here? Maybe I'm way off-line.

    Angry Sorry

    I've posted this here earlier?

Then I'm sorry for bothering you. I'm visiting quite alot of programming forums and I didn't think that I had shared this program with you earlier.

As for the source, sure, you can have it.
I have now included it in the zip archive, although it is one big mess.

    hmm

    The graphics are cool..

the only problem is that the screen flickers like hell and makes it impossible to see it or read anything.

also, i think it will be better if you make the person shoot from the keyboard instead of aim and shoot with the mouse.

    rest is cool!

No problem, just a misunderstanding on my part. The game is really cool and a lot of fun. I just got them impression you didn't want to share the source last time, but this is not the case I suppose! Sorry the inconvience, I feel embarassed now!

You should look into double buffering, to make the screen flicker less
