    Please try Zero Bricks 0.8

Please download the latest release of my game, it took me about 2-3 weeks in SDL and if you ever downloaded 0.5 you'll see this is a much improved version:

If you have MSI (XP and 2000 always do, otherwise you likely don't)

    www.conceptofzero.com/downloads/ZB08.msi

    Otherwise the larger zip file:

    www.conceptofzero.com/downloads/ZB08.zip

I know there are some glitches in it still but if you have any suggestions or comment please post them up here. Thanks.

Well, I can't download the game right now, because I'm not at my house. However, could you post some screenshots of the game for me to see. Plus I don't want to really spend a half hour downloading a game that's not going to be worth while, no offense, so if I could get an idea what the game is like that would be nice.

to let you know, none of those links work. You need to change the .png to .jpg. It was probably only a typo, though.

Btw, your game looks really good, and I'll give it a try as soon as I can (probably not until sunday or monday night).

What graphics programs did you use to make the graphics?

I played it, it is pretty good. It is a little slow on my computer. 350mhz, 196mb ram, 8mb agp graphics card.

That is weird. It gets slow with me, not the whole time, but after a little bit it gets slow.

The speed difference is probably because a flaw in my basecode, I have some SDL basecode written, and I had hardware acceleration init done wrong in it, unfortunately I haven't been able to move Zero bricks into my updated basecode so the problem exists on hardware SDL can't use. My friend and I noticed this when testing on his computers, his older pc had this problem + I found an error in my code that caused it. (sorry, i'm working on fixing this)

All the graphics are made using the Gimp which can be downloaded for free from www.gimp.org.

Wow that game is really good. How much time have you spent on it in total? you can tell that you have put a lot of work into that game. Good job.

Except the game goes way too fast on my computer. Win2K, 500mhz, 384 mb RAM, 4 mb video card.

    hey thanks

I've been working on it since the very end of may, but I was out of town some of that time in there, and some of the time just busy, so I'd say 12-16 actual days of really working on it.

Sorry about the speed problems, I do have some speed checking in it but it's not too good and the precision isn't exactly optimal. I hope my next game (because It will be better planned) will address more of these issues, this started as a really small project + grew out of proportion so it isn't the best code in the world.

I've been working on it since the very end of may,
Is that including the earlier versions, as well as the latest version?

    Sorry about the speed problems
I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. This game is a lot better than what most people can do...look at it like that.
