    12 year old starting...

Hey everyone. I am 12 years old, and I am planning on starting some game programming. I know Some C++ already. Should I use DOS Game Programming at first or Windows Game Programming at first? Right now in DOS I know how to get my programs into Graphics Mode, and I know hot to plot some pixels n' stuff. I use Borland Turbo C++ 3.1. In windows, I literally memorized how to make a Window. I use Microsoft Visual C++ for that. What type of game programming should I start with? DOS or Windows? Thanks.

Start with DOS. It is always best to start with DOS and then move to Windows. Everyone has their own opinion and everything, and everyone has their own style, but I highly suggest you start with DOS. 13h is an EXCELLENT starting mode.

Thanks, Dave! You are the reason I know how to get into 13h mode, because I read a reply you gave to someone!
