    Torque3D released as OpenSource

For anyone that does not want to pay the high price of a professional Unity 3D license Torque3D from Garage Games has been released as open source.

I have downloaded this and can confirm it is more than just an editor like the UDK or Source SDK. It is the complete source code and documentation for the engine.

    Torque 3D | Products | GarageGames.com

    Enjoy.

Yeah, I used to use TGE/TGEA/TGB from 2006-2010. Great little engine and now open source lets you see how an engine is made (may take weeks to a month or two to sift through the code though). Also lets you see how to do scripting since all the engines require you to use TorqueScript to make games with them. Can't really think of a negative thing to say (unless the team has coded it poorly ).

    O_o

@VirtualAce: You should show the license when this sort of thing comes up; not all "open source" licenses are equal.

For anyone looking, the "Torque3D" library has been released under the "MIT".

True but it is still a good opportunity to view the source and mess around with it.
