    Looking for repository ...

of small game projects I can program; language independent. I discovered I enjoy small, concise game projects to program which help to reinforce aspects of a language I learned. I recently programmed "the pig game" which was enjoyable, simple, text-based and easily converted to GUI as I am not learning Objective-C and Cocoa.

Problem is there does not appear to be a repository or books of these kinds of programming projects directly related to game programming.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Again, I am looking for small games I can program in a few hours.

    Thank you in advance.

This thread was somewhere a couple days ago and it looks quite relevant.
