    Uptodate C# courseware?

I recently thought about learning C# I'm currently in the process of learning C++ and just would like to broaden my knowledge. However I noticed on Wiki that there have been a number of C# versions.

My question is: Are nearly all tutorials / books on C# bound to be useful? I remember reading that with C++ before and after it was standardized there were many books / tutorials still published and written that still used non standard methods. Is there anything similar to C# which was that way? If so what should I look out for?

I looked at the C# links thread above however most posts and links are fairly old so I was compelled to ask before getting into something. Thanks for any reply.

well the .NET framework like Java is updated every so often. Generally the newer editions of C# programming have the latest versions, if you buy an out of date book you can probably find a list of changes on the msdn, it may not even require a newer edition.
