I think it needs rebuild if you're using VS 2003 (it did for me). Set an icon before .ShowBalloon to be on the safe side. It has complete source, so it's also interesting for us who wants to learn about creating controls/components (I don't know which this counts as, it sits in that bar bellow the form).
