EnableVisualStyles

I'm using Visual Studio.NET 2002 with the .NET Framework v1.1, is there any reason why Visual Studio won't let me use Application.EnableVisualStyles(), it tells me 'System.Windows.Forms.Application' does not contain a definition for 'EnableVisualStyles'. I am trying to use this in the code created by the Project Wizard for a C# Windows Application with no code changed except for adding the line.

I added one of the lines to my code and I didn't have any problems. Then again I use a text editor and batch files to process my code.
