    C# and barcodes

    Hi!

We are making a program on pda. Our program is to be used to scan barcodes. Does anybody know if this is possible using C#?

    Thanks:-)

Why don't you just buy a barcode scanner?

Well...You need to find a pda that runs the .NET framework first..Goodluck with that.

That's right. Your device needs to run the .NET framework for portable devices. As I haven't worked with PDAs so far, I can't help you here. In addition, you obviously have to check if you can connect a scanner to your PDA. If the hardware is available, and the framework is in place, then it shouldn't be a problem to use C#, VB or C++.NET to write your application.

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.

All Pocket PCs can run the .NET Compact Framework. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/device/sdebeta.asp
