Individual, Non-freelance, Programmers; Making Any Money?

I've done plenty of research on freelance programming and I'm aware of all the big websites where you can locate and bid on such opportunities. I'm curious if any programmers here have started a project on their own, something you organized and designed personally, and as a result have made more than $10,000 on said program to date. Anybody?
