    Approximate string match

Hello Cboard (it's been a while),

I was wondering if anyone knows of any open-source, preferably lightweight, C++ "approximate match" libraries out there? It'd be a pain to implement one myself, and the C-built ones I've found are too heavy for my purposes.

One of my applications needs a misspelling safety net, so that the user doesn't have to specify something exactly.

    Thanks.

There's several spell checking libraries (aspell, ispell, myspell, hunspell). Perhaps their suggestion algorithms can help you.
