Arrow Pointers! I don't get them!

Can anyone give a simple tutorial on pointers. It doesn't need to be fancy, it only needs to teach me pointers and be simple. Thanks.

If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

let's just say: pointer is evil!!! Once you lost track of it, it's a pain in the butt to try and find out where you've lost it.

Depends on what pointer it is and where you use them. And in C++, I'd say that argument is void. You can use memory managers and smart pointers to hold them for you.

Does that mean C++ is evil too? Pointers are pretty integral to C++, and refusing to use them is like cutting off your limbs.
