I need a "Teacher"
Allright, ive just started to read up on c++ and i find myself stuck.
I can't myself come up with ideas on how to continue study.
What i really want is a couple of tasks that forces me to keep learning commands and how to program, as i am new to programing i have no idea on where to set the limit for each program thats where you guys come in..
Can't you make a couple of tasks for me to program?
Starting with basic and going upwards?
Thanks for any replies
What I'm doing is taking a simple example shell programming and fleshing it out into a fully functional program using my advanced techniques.
http://www.cprogramming.com/tutorial.html have you read this and accomplished all the tasks there?
After you tackle vart's link, the next step would be to get a decent C++ book packed with exercises to do. Not only do they test your knowledge of C++, they also test if you really "have" learnt the acspects taught in each chapter. One to look out for that is good for this is the detiel book series. Amazon has some resonably priced ones. Make sure you get the 5th edition, as earlier versions are a bit dated now.
If that is still not what you want, check out the contest board, or better still devise a small text adventure game. Start small, then add little bits to it as you learn more. If you jump too far ahead of yourself, you will end up scrapping the entitre thing.
Bruce Eckel's Thinking in C++ will teach you tons more. I garentee it.
