    Starcraft bot

    Before you close this thread wat i want to do is not restricted by starcraft, starcraft still letts bots on certain channels. i was wondering how hard it would be to make a bot, just to greet people when they join or something. the reason i want to make my on is because from wat i am told the ones you get on the internet are riddled with viruses?

    I am using windows xp with a MSVC++ 6

    Networking programming. You basically need to know the port and ip of the server.

    I made a very simple bot for battle.net chat awhile ago. Unfortunately, it seems that the source for it is on the hard drive that's sitting on my desk, and I don't feel like putting it back in my desktop (and anyway I'm not sure it will still work if they've changed anything).

    Have you looked here for info? Also, I'm sure there are plenty of bots out there for download that aren't "riddled with viruses"

    Get a new IDE/Compiler. There's always Dev-C++, and you can download Visual C++ Express from microsoft for free as well.
