Now, when you actually get around to doing some programming as opposed to merely talking about it, feel free to post your question in open forum rather than trying to get special attention.
Asking in the forum is better because:
- you're likely to get a quicker initial response, your "tutor" may have better things to do, especially if you're paying $0 for the service.
- you're likely to get a more correct response (over a period of time). If your single tutor gets it wrong, how would you ever know?
- everyone else who has a similar problem will learn something as well.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

If you program in C++, you need Boost. You should also know how to use the Standard Library (STL). Want to make games? After reading this, I don't like WxWidgets anymore.Want to add some scripting to your App?
I suggest working through Accelerated C++: Practical Programming by Example by Andrew Koenig and Barbara E. Moo
It is one of the "Recommended Books" listed here, and chances are many of us have it, so if you ask concerning it, we would have a copy to refer to.
