    A and ~A are still the most useful ways to write "not A" when communicating online (and I'm sure that some electronics people use this notation too; all three forms are seen everywhere).
    There are 10 types of people in this world, those who cringed when reading the beginning of this sentence and those who salivated to how superior they are for understanding something as simple as binary.

    What about '!'? I know it doesn't mean the same thing as ~ in C, but I guess it could be used.
