    Hi,

    I'm a beginner and use Bruce Eckel's Thinking in C++. The electronic pdf version of the complete book is free and can be downloaded from his site @ http://www.mindview.net/Books . I'm quite happy with it.

    I would recommend C++ in 21 days by Jesse Liberty. A "newbi" book that explains in good details!!!

    Even though it does have quite a few errors, I still think:
    C++ Interactive Course
    is an excellent book. It covers everything..from easy to advanced level in detail.
    Even though you should buy this book, I know a site which has a free copy of it for you to see online. And I have the .pdf version.

    Let me know,
    Marc
