    quick question

    I'm relatively new to programming in C++, and I just needed a quick answer.

    Is there a way to code output so it prints a bit slower than instantaneously?

    For example, If I wanted to make the code below print out at a slower rate, such as one line per second, how would I do that?

    Code:
    #include <iostream>
    #include <iomanip>
    using namespace std;

    void main(void)
    {
         cout << "Welcome to the simplest program!";
         cout << "Thank you for taking the time to click on me.";
         cout << "I hope the rest of your day is awesome.";
    }

    7. It is easier to write an incorrect program than understand a correct one.
    40. There are two ways to write error-free programs; only the third one works.*

    Thank you very much. I looked through the FAQ and tutorials, but I'm completely unfamiliar with C++ terminology, so I had no clue where to start. Thanks again for your help.
