    parsing

    hello, first time user and new to c++
    i am writing a program with nested if statements
    and i am getting a compiler message that states
    line;57 parse error before 'else'. what is
    a parse error

    It's bascially the compiler telling you that it found something it didn't expect.
    Missing a ; is a common way of generating parse errors.
    If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
    If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
