How about some basic information like which OS and compiler you're using?

    Stab in the dark.
If you're using gcc, then you need something like
    Code:
    gcc prog.c -L/path/to/lib -lmylib
This command will cause gcc to link with /path/to/lib/libmylib.a

If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

    thanks,
i'm using dev-cpp, windows xp. i know how to link a library.
the only question is which library or header.
the functions(iid_ibasefilter, iid_icreatedevenum,iid_...) seem to be kind of basic-functions, they appear in several codes (in context with directshow).
    i'm grateful for each assistance.

Wow dwks, did you really mis-type search as saerch?
