My fav book out of the 3 I own as one is a refrence book on C/c++ is called

2How to program in C++ the complete 4th editiion by Deitel. It has a rather lame compiler with it which is Microsoft Visual 6.0, but I use my own IDE and compiler, but the book is very very good, and goes from a complete novice to an expert, giving you tips, letting you know what to avoid, how to indent code like a pro, and also goes into web programing and windows programing. Only thing it does not show is game design, but I have a book that covers that subject anyway, although it only covers beggining game design, i need to get a more advanced one now, as the biggesst thing you can create is TIC Tac Toe lol! Hope this helps
