    on Dev C++, the command Sleep() works fine with out error, but on my other compiler, it gives me a message "Unknown Identifier 'Sleep' Why is this? Is Sleep() compiler persific??

    Sleep() is compiler specific.

    Free code: http://sol-biotech.com/code/.

    It is not that old programmers are any smarter or code better, it is just that they have made the same stupid mistake so many times that it is second nature to fix it.

    Sleep() is not compiler specific but OS specific, it's defined in the windows headers, which by default are not included in the beta, you need to install the windows platform SDK
