    G++ and Cygwin

    Hey everyone, I downloaded and now have Cygwin on my windows xp computer, but when I try to compile a program with G++, it says that command does not exist. Is G++/GCC included with Cygwin?

    I don't know if gcc/g++ ships with Cygwin, but just as a suggestion have you checked that g++ is in the PATH? This might be why windows is not finding the compiler.

    G++ does ship with CygWin, but IIRC it's not included in the default package, so you have to select it manually during installation.

    IIRC means if I remember correctly. When you're selecting the packages to download and install, there's a "compilers" category. It's under there.
