    Please help (newbe post)

Hi all Im new to this forum and just as new to C++ , I would like to learn C++ , but Im not sure where to start , the only programing Ive done is assembler for the microchip Picmicro MCUs ,Im quite good at it too so I think its time to move on to some thing a bit bigger and more useful , so far I have a good book and Borland C++ Builder Enterprise Suite Version 6 , but the book seems a bit to full on for me right now , is there a good Web site out there that could point me the right way ?

Thanks for reading and all the best

learning assembly before even learning a high-level language should give you a very good advantage over the average noob.

Picmicro MCU programming seems to be a very specialized skill.. how did you get into it..??

The Brian "Picmicro MCU programming seems to be a very specialized skill.. how did you get into it..??"

I love electronics and music so I started out with the pics trying to make a midi to Cv converter for one of my old non midi synthesizers , that was a few years back , now I have made a sound sampler/ synthesizer it looks a mess but sounds great anyway now I would like to be able to make some basic soft synth to run in windows , I know I got a long way to go , but also know it can be done , but first I need to understand how C++ works ,, Ive started with the text editor tutorial thats comes with Borland\CBuilder6 ,, I dont have it working 100% yet but it is runing and only bugs out if I go to open a new text file , its getting late so I will try again tomo .

    Thanks for the input guys
