On this sites homepage there are links to compilers and IDE's. Additionally there is informative information on 'What do I need to start programming?'
i don't think most standard compilers support programmers with more than 4 red boxes - Misplaced
It is my sacred duity to stand in the path of the flood of ignorance and blatant stupidity... - quzah
Such pointless tricks ceased to be interesting or useful when we came down from the trees and started using higher level languages. - Salem

Cprogramming Tutorial
By the way, this should be in the C++ section of the board.
Stupid things pop singers say
"I get to go to lots of overseas places, like Canada."
- Britney Spears
"I love what you've done with the place!"
-Jessica Simpson upon meeting the Secretary of Interior during tour of the White House
It will be a while before you make any kind of game. Learn the language first then come back and ask. BTW: what is TADS ?
Here is probably the fastest way to get into game programming.....
1) Learn C++
2) Read this book: "Sam's Teach Yourself Game Programming in 24 Hours."
- "Problem Solving C++, The Object of Programming" -Walter Savitch
- "Data Structures and Other Objects using C++" -Walter Savitch
- "Assembly Language for Intel-Based Computers" -Kip Irvine
- "Programming Windows, 5th edition" -Charles Petzold
- "Visual C++ MFC Programming by Example" -John E. Swanke
- "Network Programming Windows" -Jones/Ohlund
- "Sams Teach Yourself Game Programming in 24 Hours" -Michael Morrison
- "Mathmatics for 3D Game Programming & Computer Graphics" -Eric Lengyel
Moved to C++ board.
I recommend you check out the book reviews and the tutorials on the main site ( www.cprogramming.com ).
Thank you all so much
o and TADS is a pretty useless language, its only for interactive fiction
