    Post Which Compiler?

    Hey. I had an idea that some people newer than me might be looking for a good complier. So why don't we help them out and post the complier we use, its attributes whether its free or how much it cost, and a url to access more information.

    I use Dev-C++
    Its Free, a 7.46 MB download and takes just over 50 MB for installation. It comes with a debugger, complies with recent standards, has regular updates and is really good all round.
    Get it from www.bloodshed.net

    Thats not the piont of this thread, i know that dev-c++ was recommended by this but they didn't mention anything about memory. The main piont of this is to find out about other compilers that haven't been mentioned that may even be better.

    Well if it's recommanded, and able to download, did you think that it would be like a 100MB file for download?
    And not to mention that you get a lot of information with just opening google.com and type something like "C++ Compilers".

    What I think caroundw5h means is that this thread wasn't necessary to make..

    Agreed...

    Anyone else need more info on compilers, go to the CProg link I gave, or type into google like caroundw5h suggests, or send a private message to polonyman to get more usefull info from him!
