    gui

    what direction should i study to start creating guis in c++.
    i have become very fond of my guis in java, and would like to make one for c++.

    That depends. If you are using Windows, you could look into the Win32 API. While this is the native way to do GUI programming in C++ on Windows, I myself am rather fond of some of the cross-platform libraries out there: Qt, gtk, and others. As far as the programming itself, there is nothing new. Where it really gets interesting is in how the different libraries/APIs deal with the event driven nature of GUIs.

    Also, I know this question has been covered here in the past, so search around a bit for some more info.
