    Wink Which files hold these settings?

    hi everyone!

    which are the files on your computer that holds the settings for

    - your desktop taskbar position
    - desktop settings like resolution
    - wall paper
    - quick start bar

    for win98(SE)

    The shortcuts in the quick start bar are contained in a directory within the Windows directory. From memory it's something like Windows\Application Data\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch. As for the other things you mentioned, I'm sure they are somewhere in the registry. Have a look around in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version.

    Search the registry for the file that you have as your desktop background.
