    Graphics

I'm not sure exactly where this goes, so I put it in here... move it if it's in the wrong place...

basically, I was wondering where to start with graphics... I was thinking OpenGL, but I really don't know much about it and was wondering if it's a good place to start...

FOR STARTERS, I would suggest OpenGL - state machines are usuallly a little easier to understand. I'm not saying OGL is better than DX, or vice verca, SO NO ONE START A WAR! I suggest starting with OGL, that's what I did.
